Ok, I need your help. My Melanie loves playing games and working puzzles. Her birthday is in two weeks and when we ask her what she wants, she says, "lots of board games". What is your (your child) favorite game(s)? She is turning 5!
My kids (all three of them) love Hullaballoo. We're big fans of Connect 4, Perfection, Candyland, Hungry Hungry Hippos, and card games like Old Maid and Go Fish.
I liked Hungry Hungry Hippos, Connect Four, Operation, Hot Potato, and Twister. A game I really like now is Apples to Apples. They have a junior version, but it may still be too old for her.
Have you tried Princess Monopoly? My daughter loves monopoly. Brandon is turning 5 in a couple weeks, too. His favorites are Balloon Lagoon (VERY fun!!!!), Life, and Sorry.
If the weather is nice red light green light, balloon volleyball, indoor bowling with 2 liter bottles and soccer ball or other ball, my kids(all ages)love musical chairs but we use pillows instead It has been played up to 13 years old, feeding the other person blindfolded (in teams to see who is the least messy). There are a few of our kids favorites. Have fun
Lisa, I loved getting your message. I don't go on -line and now paying a high deductible no wireless for us at least in the near future. I have only gone on line to pay bills. Im in a hard cast and it just still hurts to much to to sit to long. I will be in touch when I get well. I fell on Jan 28th and am in my 3rd cast. wont get this on off until March 11th. After x-rays is all is well we will go to a soft cast. Yea! I can't sleep at night because the whole cast thing stinks. Your blog is great and I enjoyed my visit.

We got the new UNO Attack for Christmas and it is a really fun new twist (new, different cards etc) on an old fun game. My kids love pushing the button!
I second Ruthy's idea... apples to apples is my kids' fav. They also love Battleship & started loving Clue about age 6 Go-fish with the Book of Mormon characters is a big hit and Rummikub is their all-time favorite (teaches number sense & use of patterns--and it's fun!) And, sorry, all-grown-up Ruth will always be Ruthy to me from back in the day....
