The La Brea Tar Pits

Dan took today off so we could take the kids to some of the LA museums. On the way we stopped off at the temple to visit and have lunch with grandma and grandpa Merrill. We then headed to LA. If you are ever in the LA area I highly recommend visiting the La Brea Tar Pits. It is definitely a once in a life time experience. The kids loved it! Spencer was totally fascinated. Did you know that LA is a huge Tar Pit? Crazy interesting! On our way home we picked up some fried chicken. After eating the chicken, Spencer started eyeing all the bones. "Can we try to put them together and build a chicken? They apparently learned a lot from our adventure!

This was on our list for things to do on Friday. That would have been really funny if we ran into you there! I haven't been there since a 3rd grade field trip.
We went to the Aquarium instead. Glad you had fun! Now I know it's a must for the summer.

Never been there...so thanks for sharing the photos. There are so many things to do around us, we just need time...hahahaha and we're retired? The Aquarium is another must on our list.

That reminds me of my old life! I need to take my kids out there sometime.
Looks like they loved it. How did you go from no blogs for like 2 weeks, to all these? Crazy!

We went to the tar pits recently also. I loved them. It's cool to see all of the fossils.

You have inspired me to take my boys for a hike. Why haven't I done that yet? Who knows.
