Tonight Melanie came into where I was and asked when daddy was going to be home, because she really wanted him to pull out her first loose tooth. Dan went sailing with his dad today and won't be home until late. She asked if I could pull her tooth out. I just don't do good with that! I can't even watch Dan do it. It just grosses me out! She also surprised me because this was her first loose tooth and she really wanted to lose it at school, so she could get a very cool tooth necklace. Her tooth has been loose for about a week now, but I wouldn't say it was completely ready to "fall out". Well, the truth is, she really wanted to eat her peach that she had in her hand and it was too hard to enjoy it with her tooth hanging there. I told her to bring me string and I would try. I DID IT! She/I didn't even flinch a bit. I remember when my mom would pull mine, and even though I wanted her to, I was scared. I even cringe at the thought. Melanie is my tough girl! She said she didn't feel a thing. Yah, whatever! I had to yank pretty hard. I know she had to feel something. Oh well, she won't get a cool necklace, but she can go eat her peach. Owen, you and Melanie are twins now!!

First Tooth!
Tonight Melanie came into where I was and asked when daddy was going to be home, because she really wanted him to pull out her first loose tooth. Proud of you Lisa....and, oh, you too Mel. hahahaha I remember not only pulling out our children's teeth, but even the babysitting kids would beg me to pull out theirs and they said the same thing "never even hurst". Good job, Mel! Don't forget to put it under your pillow tonight. Next time she will probably be like Alyssa and pull it out all by herself.
I love the first of things with our kids! Spencer got his very first ctr ring in primary today. He is so proud. CTR 5 is a big deal! What does the tooth fairy bring to your house? Just curious.

Lisa, I saw this and thought, "NO way! Melanie can't be old enough for loose teeth, she's James' age!" And wouldn't you know it but he now has a loose tooth. Time really does fly!
