Ropes!

Kids love them, but I hate them! You are not supposed to let children play with them right? They are always used to do something bad. From tying up sister to hanging a toy bear, I just don't like them. My kids have had several jump ropes. Do they jump with them? No, they are always found tied together and hanging from the swing set. Hello!!! Is that just calling out DANGER?@#$% This might sound awful but, I can only imagine them doing something stupid like hanging themselves. OK, so I only let the plastic jump ropes in my house now. AND we hide dad's ropes in the garage! They can't really tie "plastic" to things right? Well, the kids were bored one rainy day and they wanted rope to play with. I reminded them that I didn't like them playing with rope. A little while later when I went to check on them, this is what I found.They found RIBBON (it's not rope) and made a swing off my parent's stairs. Sorry mom! "You never said we couldn't tie ribbon together!" I actually thought it was pretty creative. Now we have a new rule...only if mom knows what you are tying. You just can't stop them. Kids will be kids! Spencer will be a boy scout this summer...what then?
